Chine Material Question

Hey guys,
I am not having much luck finding good white oak for chine stock.
What options do I have for chine stock besides the oak? What have you guys used?
Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!

ASH, the only way to go. Easy to rip and bend. Somewhat rot resistant. Easily obtained at a Woodcraft store. Just finished my first one and was pleased.
